Von Holten Ranch in Mora, Missouri, is home of Country Tough Homesteading. The Ranch won the title of Missouri's Best Ranch for 2024.
There's basically three types of homesteaders: the person that wants to save money, the person that wants to eat pure healthy foods, and the person that wants to live off the grid that is fearful of our country's future. People can also be a combination of these three types of homesteaders.
Examples of homesteading: gardening, bread making, raising chickens, cooking outdoors, making garments, canning, securing water, foraging and living off the land.
Country Tough Homesteading is more than our Ranch. It is a community of learning filled with resources for you and this great country to do more than just survive. We are meant to thrive! We have work to do. Let’s get started!
