Mission

Country Tough Homesteading is a hands-on learning facility located on Von Holten Ranch, which is a 4th generation family owned century farm in Mora, Missouri.  Owners, David and Brandy Von Holten, are dedicated to providing courses (taught by them and other qualified instructors) and to teach homesteading skills to improve lives and subsequent generations of individuals by becoming more self sufficient, healthy, and financially sound.

Country Tough Homesteading strives to be a sought-after learning facility that is known for caring about people, being innovative, and on the forefront in quality hands-on homesteading education and expos.  No matter if you have only a patio or vast pastures, Country Tough Homesteading will be able to bring back lost skills to help you become more self sufficient based on four pillars:  Prepare, Produce, Preserve, and Procure.
