What Type of Homesteader Are You?
Apr 01, 2025
Do you trust our government? Do you feel grocery stores could easily be empty in the blink of an eye? Do you think there are ingredients in our foods that harm us?
What steps do you take to feel safe and move forward?
Personally, we raise our own beef and chicken, have a small but mighty garden, learned how to make soap, lotion, and medicinal herbs, and have done a ton of research.
We have also changed our diets, focused on our health, pivoted our businesses, and gotten stronger in how and why we do things.
Country Tough Homesteading won Missouri's Best Homestead for 2024!
To answer the questions that we ask you...
We do not fully trust the government.
Grocery stores could be empty in the blink of an eye.
And we know of several ingredients in our foods that harm us.
Our mission at Country Tough Homesteading is:
Country Tough Homesteading is a hands-on learning facility located at Von Holten Ranch, which is a 4th generation family owned century farm in Mora, Missouri. Owners, David and Brandy Von Holten, are dedicated to providing courses (taught by them and other qualified instructors) and to teach homesteading skills to improve lives and subsequent generations of individuals by becoming more self sufficient, healthy, and financially sound.
We hope to see you at the 2025 Country Tough Homesteading Expo June 20-21, 2025!
